Mark your calendars. The second annual Fairfax City Women-Owned Business Luncheon is returning to Fairfax City on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. The luncheon is being held at the Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center, Fairfax, VA 22030 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Co-hosted by the City of Fairfax Commission for Women and the Economic Development Authority, and sponsored by Freedom Bank of Virginia and the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon invites local women business owners who are looking to begin or grow their business, network, and would like to become part of small women entrepreneur communities.
This year’s keynote speaker is DeShawn Robinson-Chew, Founder of She-EO, LLC: Social Enterprise Educating and Empowering Tomorrow’s Female Founders. She-EO, LLC was presented with the Small Business Growth award by the Women’s Business Center of Northern Virginia and Robinson-Chew continues to be recognized for her support of female entrepreneurs.
Throughout her impressive career, Robinson-Chew has been a champion for entrepreneurship. Speaking at the Fairfax City Women-Owned Business Luncheon, Robinson-Chew will share her professional journey offering guidance and advice to female business leaders. Additionally, there will be a panel presentation of lessons learned and community support by Fairfax City Women-Owned Businesses.
Tickets to the luncheon are available online for $15 through Event Brite at Fairfax City Women-Owned Business Luncheon. A few tickets will be available at the door for $20. Fairfax City women-owned businesses are encourages to promote their business as an exhibitor. Exhibitor tables are limited and given on a first come, first serve basis.
