We’ve got a Fall Crawl y’all! This summer Fairfax City’s Economic Development Authority had our inaugural Old Town Fairfax City Crawl and following its success, we’re bringing it back for the fall on Saturday, October 26 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The crawl will be a timed self-guided tour featuring specials from Old Town Fairfax City restaurants such as Chubby Squirrel Brewing Company, Coyote Grille, High Side, Ornery Beer Company, Patriots Pub & Grill, the Auld Shebeen, the Old Firestatin #3, the Wine House, and Zandra’s Taqueria.
The crawl is FREE to anyone 21 and over and since its Halloween, we’re asking you to don your best costume creation for a costumer contest. To participate, check-in at Red Effect, 3950 University Drive, #103 to receive your crawl passport. With your crawl passport, you will receive:
- A list of participating restaurants;
- Specialty priced food and beverages when the passport is shown;
- Stamps given when a purchase is made;
- A free commemorative limited edition glass (while supplies last).
To receive the commemorative glass, passports must have stamps from 4 or more participating restaurants. Commemorative glasses must be redeemed before 7:00 pm at Red Effect.
At check-in, photos will be taken of anyone dressed in costume and participants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite. The top male and top female costumes will receive a free 3 month membership to Red Effect and a Fairfax City branded gift basket. Winning costumes will be announced at 6:30 pm at Red Effect and on our EDA Facebook and Instagram pages.
Participants are encouraged to share photos of their experience with the hashtag #FairfaxCityFallCrawl.
Please remember to drink responsibly and DO NOT drink and drive.
