Faces of Fairfax City: Kim’s Pho Kitchen + Bar
Every culture has its comfort food, but Vietnam’s pho is a universal comfort food. It ranks second of the ten most popular soups in the world (according to TasteAtlas). It’s hearty, healthy, aromatic, and delicious. It’s not just a soup, it’s a meal.
At Kim’s Pho Kitchen + Bar, you will get the filet mignon of pho – literally! Mrs. Kim, the owner, uses the top quality meat – filet mignon, along with the freshest ingredients, in her pho. She also uses filet mignon in another popular beef dish: Bo Luc Lac, otherwise known as Shaky Beef! Another distinctive soup to try, especially on a cold or wet day, is Bun Bo Hue – a soup from Hue (the middle region of Vietnam) that has aromatics different than pho, yet is also delicious and filling. It usually comes spicy, but Mrs. Kim can tone it down if requested.
The décor at Kim’s Pho Kitchen + Bar is modern and sophisticated, yet comfortable. Bring a date for a lovely and memorable meal!
