🎵 “Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks.” 🎵
Twins Ace Hardware is your neighborhood hardware store for home improvement and repair needs. With friendly and knowledgeable staff who listen and guide you in the right direction, you will leave with what you need feeling confident and appreciated.
Twins Ace Hardware is locally owned and operated by twin brothers, Craig and Jeff Smith. They have two locations, Fairfax City and Arlington. Craig is the primary operator of the Fairfax City location. He makes sure that his store not only provides hardware essentials for customers, but also serves and contributes to its community in many other ways. Craig and his team host pet adoption events, raise money for children’s non-profits (Children’s National Hospital, school supplies to Britepaths, etc.), donate personal protective supplies to the local fire departments, and participate in Fairfax City events.
In December, Twins Ace Hardware will be celebrating ten years in Fairfax City! Look for their announcements of special events to celebrate this momentous milestone.

Tell us a little about Twins Ace Hardware.
We are a family-owned, retail hardware store. Part of the Ace Hardware co-operative. We offer items in many categories, including hardware, paint, garden, plumbing, electrical, housewares, grilling and more.
What makes Twins Ace Hardware unique in Fairfax City?
Lots of unusual items and some that are tough to find elsewhere. Our fastener (nuts and bolts) aisle is well known and contains thousands of tiny things you just can’t live without when doing a particular project. You can buy just one of most any of them.
What encouraged you to take the leap and get started?
We will celebrate our 10th anniversary this year. I spent 12 years at Strosniders Hardware in Bethesda, MD (also an Ace Hardware store). After deciding I wanted to open my own store, I searched for over a year to find the best location. Fortunately, my aunt and uncle live close by and I often passed our shopping center and noticed the vacant space. My brother and I thought it was a great location and the wheels were in motion from there.

My favorite thing to do in Fairfax is run with my fun run friends from Pacers at least once a week. We typically hit various paths throughout the city and veer into Country Club Hills, GMU, Fairfax Circle, etc. Running is always a fantastic way of learning about your surroundings.
