The Fairfax City Annual Elf on the Shelf® Scavenger Hunt returns for its fourth year!
The Elf on the Shelf® Scavenger Hunt in support of Small Business Saturday® will begin on Saturday, November 26 at 9:00 am with a Welcome Station at Old Town Square, 10415 North Street. Hosted in partnership with the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and the Old Town Fairfax Business Association the city’s Small Business Saturday celebration highlights the importance of supporting small and locally owned businesses during the holiday season. At the Welcome Station, families can pick up a scavenger hunt card to help locate elves across the city; enjoy small treats, coffee and cocoa to-go; receive free Small Business Saturday® totes; and much more all while supplies last until noon.
After visiting the Welcome Station, families are encouraged to go on a scavenger hunt for elves throughout Fairfax City. Elves will be hidden within city businesses and many will be offering specials for the day. Locate five (5) or more elves by scanning the QR code OR receive a stamp from the businesses on your scavenger hunt passport and submit one (1) proof of purchase from a participating business to have your name entered into a raffle. Raffle prizes include ten (10) Fairfax City Flex eGift Cards valued at $50 each, which can be redeemed at participating Fairfax City businesses. Scavenger hunt passports and proof of purchase submissions must be emailed to economicdevelopment@fairfaxva.gov by 5:00 pm on Monday, December 5. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday, December 6 and notified by email.
New this year, share your photos with #FairfaxCityElf and tag @fairfaxcityeda for a chance to win daily gift card drawings.
