FAIRFAX CITY, VA –The 2023 Economic Development Summit, a program of the International Downtown Association (IDA), offers industry leaders with an opportunity to gather and explore creative approaches to entrepreneurship and dive into the new frontier of office space. This year’s summit is hosted by the Downtown Norfolk Council and representing Fairfax City Economic Development is Assistant Director Matthew Easley, who will be speaking on the Incubating Entrepreneurs panel. Easley will discuss the unique City-Economic Development Authority-University partnership for the operation of the Mason Enterprise Center – Fairfax. The session’s purpose will be to highlight the advantages provided by the government-academic partnership model, and the unique attraction opportunities for potential businesses trying to do business in Northern Virginia. The remainder of the panel will be made up by industry leaders highlighting different approaches to incubating entrepreneurs, developing local talent and building capacity from the ground up.
