FAIRFAX CITY, VA – The Fairfax City Economic Development Authority (the “EDA”) today announces the allocation of $300,000 toward the Facade & Interior Improvement Grant (FIIG) program for retail commercial property improvements. Created with the objective of supporting property owners and commercial tenants, FIIG offers a 50% reimbursement opportunity for high-quality exterior and limited interior enhancements, specifically designed to elevate the visual appeal of commercial businesses within the city. Beginning on July 1st, eligible businesses within Fairfax City are invited to apply to the FIIG program, which may include a maximum grant award of up to $20,000. With its focus on encouraging property owners and businesses to invest in their commercial property storefronts, signage, awnings, and interior customer-facing spaces, the FIIG program aims to stimulate economic growth and promote a visually enticing environment within our business community.
