In fact, our businesses have the opportunity to participate in scores of signature cultural events to showcase their company throughout the year.

Here’s sample of what you can expect:

Chocolate Lovers Festival during the first full weekend in February; it’s now the premier sweet-tooth event in the Mid-Atlantic with major events—and business participation—throughout the city.

Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts Festival mid-April through mid-May; held in conjunction with George Mason University, this is more than 200 events—from music to dance to theater—every day across the city.

Rock the Block! every Fourth Friday of the month, May – October; nearly 3,000 people congregate for the block party of month in our Old Town, with live music, craft beer and great activities for families.

Movies Under the Moon … yes, it’s as idyllic as it sounds, with hundreds of families lounging to take in great films in one of the best park settings in the Commonwealth.

Farmers Markets, Saturdays and Sundays from May through October; NEW this year: Farm to Fairfax Market Tuesdays in Old Town Square, featuring products from exceptional artisans and growers in the region.

Independence Day Celebration is now among the best small-town parades in America, with thousands of visitors from across the region—and it’s even televised. This year, we were featured by NBC4 during for five live segments during its morning show on the Fourth!

Fall for the Book Festival in September, features a partnership with George Mason University and the biggest names of the world of the written word—with a speaker series and engaging workshops.

Fairfax Fall Festival in October is a juggernaut, attractive 40,000 visitors to the streets of Fairfax for live music, food, beer gardens and hundreds of vendors selling everything from fine jewelry to gorgeous art.

Festival of Lights and Carols in early December marks the beginning of the winter season in Old Town, with big crowds throughout the weekend.
